Ladies Day - March 6, 2005

We all met at Landsborough in the picnic area. Ron, Wade and Bruce were the only fellows and they left in the challenger for a swim at Mooloolaba. Christine our trip leader was in one car, Pam and myself in the liberty and Dana, Julie and Malcolm in the outback. We left Landsborough and headed up the range. The road works slowed us down but we finally arrived at Montville and found a park easily. We browsed in the shops on one side of the road and then had morning tea at a bakery on the other side of the road. More browsing and then it was time to get in the cars to join the fellows for lunch at our house in Caloundra. It’s a secret what we discussed but I can tell you it didn’t have four wheels.

We arrived there about 1pm to find that Dave and Rob had arrived as well as Jan who ran too late to join us in Montville. Our daughter Kate and dog Bonny were also there. Guess what the fellows were doing, firmly seated in front of the TV watching a car race!

After lunch we wandered down to Currimundi Lake with the surf skis for a swim.

I would like to thank Christine, on behalf of the ladies, for a great morning. We all enjoyed ourselves. We’ll have to do it again sometime.
