Double Island Point Photos

Convoy. We got a great big Convoy! There were a total of 18 cars out for this weekend. There were even 2 brand spanking new Mazda-rati Tributes. This is just a few of the cars. For those who weren't able to come, you missed the easiest beach driving I have ever seen. I drove on & off the beach at freshwater, along the beach & up the freshwater road in 2wd without any hassles (V6 HiLux's have SERIOUS grunt). The 2-4wd Subi's were only stopped from doing this by the angle of entry combined with the criss-crossed ruts.

One seriously competent Outback. Lift kit, big tyres, SubaXtreme Bull Bar & Sump guard. He towed a hefty camper trailer in to Freshwater campground without worries. Now all he needs is a CB! Hey Andrew!?! :)
PS. Can I borrow your car for a year or two??? please?

Bugger! I came down it easily but can't get back up. I'm even driving a HiLux! Oh, well, vertical sand might just be as hard as they say. Bugger.

I waz just drivin' along & mindin' my own business when this dry creek crossing waved at me to come & play. Well, little waz I to know that it wanted to play a game of "belly out". Thats Ok, coz I drive a Subi. I won of course. No challenge!
